Detection of genomic variations and selection signatures in Wagyu using whole‐genome sequencing data

Published in Animal Genetics, 2023

In this study, we explore the selection signature of Wagyu and provide some new insights for genes associated with fat deposition and lipid metabolism. These results will provide a valuable genomic resource for the improvement and breeding of beef cattle in the future.

Identification of genomic diversity and selection signatures in Luxi cattle using whole-genome sequencing data

Published in Animal Bioscience, 2024

In this study, at the whole-genome level, single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) were identified and annotated in LUX based on sequencing data of a total of 190 individuals and searched for selection signatures and candidate genes in LUX by three methods (pi, Fst, and XP-EHH) were analyzed. These results will help us to understand the process of breed formation and provide a theoretical basis for understanding the genetic mechanism of LUX breed-specific characteristics.
